Extreme Couponing? Not me!
I will admit it. I used to be a coupon addict. Since eating clean and starting with Wildtree, I don't often use the products that coupons are made for, but I do peruse them for the few products I still purchase. Even those I save I don't often use because the store brand is a better deal. I would then feel guilty about all the time wasted on cutting, carrying and checking the coupons, but NO MORE.
I just discovered this group that forwards coupons, even those that are expired, to troops oversees to be used in commissaries on base. There are procedures, and policies but check it out here:
Now off to find a coupon for toilet paper.....how can one family use so much?

Super Bowl Super Food
I was born in Texas and grew up loving football. As a mother though, I haven't had as much time to put into keeping up with professional teams and players and stats and such, but I love to watch a good game!
Super Bowl Sunday though means more then just football....it is about FOOD!
This year our plans for the big game were to be very lazy. After a crazy month with Wildtree I had some work to catch up on and I was way behind on my class lectures.
I couldn't let the opportunity pass to come up with a great Wildtree appetizer. One of the Wildtree Team Leaders posted a recipe on FB for crab dip that she found online. I decided to "Wildtree-it" and come up with a healthier version.
Here is how it turned out....

Here is how it turned out....
and the recipe....
1/2 pound of lump crab (for ease I used canned)
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup mayo
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp Wildtree Absolutely Onion
2 tbsp Wildtree Garlic Galore
2 tsp Worcester Sauce
2 tbsp Lemon juice
1 tbsp Wildtree Cajun seasoning
1.Preheat oven to 325
2. Mix all ingredients and put in casserole dish.
3. Bake for 20-30 minutes until bubbly and slightly
brown.
It was awesome and the perfect thing to snack on while making dinner.
I hope you enjoyed the game....or at least the half time show!

How do we get those awesome flavors in our Grapeseed oil?
I get this question all the time!
We infuse our oil with certain flavors, each one is unique and gives the recipe your using it in really deep flavors but how does it all work?
As usual, our handy dandy Chef and food scientist Matt has the answer Check out this video:

Drop Back and Punt......
Well, I did it again. There is something genetically wrong with me. I am unable to use my math skills to correctly figure out how long a turkey needs to cook. Happened at Thanksgiving (it was done earlier than I thought), and today, (way later than I thought).
7:00pm comes, it is our usually dinner time. I pull the turkey out of the oven and it is still 20 degrees below cooked. We are all stared and I don't know what to do.
Thank goodness for Wildtree.
I always keep some cooked, frozen shrimp in the freezer. I pulled it out and defrosted it under warm water. While it was defrosting, I cooked some onions and peppers in Garlic Grapeseed Oil until they were soft, added about 2 tablespoons of Guacamole Seasoning, and a bag of chopped cabbage and about 1/4 cup of water.
Once that was soft, I tossed in the shrimp until it was hot and then served it with sliced avocado on top.
Yeah, I saved the day.
We will be having turkey for dinner tomorrow night!
